What is a Fanlisting?

A fanlisting is simply an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are), they are just a place where you can sign up with other fans. More info here »

What is the Colour of Magic?

The Colour of Magic is a comic fantasy novel by Terry Pratchett, and the first of the Discworld series. It was published in 1983. It is also one of only five Discworld novels to be divided into chapters, the others being the 2004 book Going Postal, and the three young adult novels. Each chapter is in fact a separate short story featuring the same characters. The idea of The Colour of Magic - that all that happens is due to the god's gambling - is somewhat similar to traditional role-playing games, in that the roll of the dice determines what happens to Rincewind and the other heroes.

The main character is the incompetent and cynical wizard Rincewind, who involuntarily finds himself as a guide to the naive tourist Twoflower. After they are forced to flee from the city of Ankh-Morpork, their journey leads them to the country of Krull, perched on the very edge of the Discworld.

Their story is continued in the succeeding Discworld novel, The Light Fantastic.
